Happy

With my shoes drying before the fire, I mean, furnace, and my feet thawing in the warm comforts of my room, following a long walk in the cold rain, I'm happy. Happy that we've been able to discuss our differences reasonably. Happy that while we must disagree on certain points, we can do it civilly. Happy that our differences lie on the same plain; as confusing as this all has been, my one consolation is that we both know where we must draw the line. Mostly, I'm happy because our friendship is made of such enduring qualities that it has stood the strain our ineptness has put to it. We've been given a rare gift, and I pray that God help us maintain it well.
